Diana, like her Greek counterpart Artemis, was the goddess of the hunt. To the ancient Romans, hunting was a pastime, a matter of survival and a way of respecting Mother Nature aka respect the food chain. Apollo, the god of music, poetry, art, prophecy, archery and practically everything, was said to inspire the naming of NASA's Apollo program after Dr. Silverstein saw an image of the deity riding his chariot across the sun.
