I want to give this brand a great review.. they are a local business and several friends have their suits. However, I ordered my wetsuit over 2 weeks ago and received a notification about preparation to ship near my home but the shipment never went out. I’ve reached out to Matuse and am hoping this is some sort of oversight. Again, friends love these suits, and they do confirm the suits need a few sessions to break in then are amazing. Hate to give this low review but Matuse did send me an email asking to review the suit I have yet to receive. Happy to and hope to revise this review shortly 😊
5’1 and 105lb. I’m a size 4 according to the size chart, but the it was super tight around my shoulders and neck, constricting my breath when put on dry. I laid the Artemis on top of my old 4/3 that fits well with inseam aligned, and you can see the Artemis has a shorter torso and the arms come down against the body more. But customer support was super helpful and exchanged a 6S for me quickly, which fits a lot better. So size up, especially if you have longer torso.
Besides sizing, the suit itself is very warm — kept me much warmer than my old 4/3 neoprene suite, even comparable to a 5/4. Went today (10/17) in water around 55F, and all my friends were wearing 5/4 or more but I was toasty in my Matuse 4/3.
It’s a bit stiff on the first surf, but I’m hopeful that it will stretch out with a handful of surfs 🤞🏼
My daughters absolutely love their new Matuse Artemis 4/3 wetsuits! As promised, they’re incredibly warm and flexible. The sleek design turns heads and gets plenty of attention. They’re thrilled to have such high-quality wetsuits that will keep them warm and last through the San Diego winter.
I love this suit! Buttery soft, lightweight, stretchy and looks great. It’s even more comfortable in the water! Highly recommend these suits
After trying the Artemis out for a monte i have to admit the wetsuit fits me perfectly and is super stretchy for being a 4/3. Really happy with the product
